Wish List??

Christmas fast approaches and we are making our list and checking it twice! I use My Gift List.com to keep track of our realistic wishes; items for the baby, Christmas gifts, birthday gifts and the like. As I was adding a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer to the list my mind wandered...what would be on my wish list if we had our current income but no debt? New car? Flat screen TV? No, I don't think it would.

Here's what I've come up with so far...
  • The thermostat set at 70 during the day and 60 at night. $700 in the bank for a propane refill half way through winter.

  • Money in savings.

  • Money in our freedom account (this saves up for annual and one time expenses- car renewal tags, subscriptions, unusual medical expenses and so on).

  • $1500 in savings to take a vacation back east and see family. The only time it feels like we'll be taking that trip in the next five years is when someone important dies. And that feels sad.
  • My husband to find a high paying 8 am to 4 pm, Monday thru Friday job. Because not having worked less than 9 hours a day in a year is just not nice.
    Anything else? No, not really.

What would be on your wish list if you had no debt?
