To Move or Not to Move, that is the Question!

To move or not to move, that is the current question we are wrangling with. My husband applied for a job in my hometown approximately 2,325 miles away from our current location. That is three time zones away and a whole different climate! For instance, we currently have sun, somewhat chilly weather and bulbs springing up here. There it is snow, snow and crazy freezing temperatures.

Why would we even consider such a move? Well, my husbands hours were cut to 40 and the 40 hr week paycheck is just not enough. Because of his schedule it would be really hard for me to find a job without putting our son into some kind of day care, which we are not willing to do (for his sake and our pocketbooks). And it would be nice to be closer to family in the early years of our children's lives.

It's a time of prayer and planning and waiting. He has a phone interview Monday morning and if that goes well we'd probably fly him out to check it out in person. Then we would go from there. Questions abound though. If we moved, where would we live? What would we take with us? What would we leave here? What would we sell? What would we give away?

I was at a mother's group last week and the speaker shared a very appropriate verse from the Proverbs...Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5) That's where we are today.
